OCTOBER 21, 2008, SANTA FE, NM: Melissa J White's screenplay, "ID" was awarded 1st place in the short screenplay competition at the Rhode Island International Film Festival.

"ID" is a story of lost and mistaken identity. RIIFF is one of only 62 film festivals (out of 7,000) world wide that is accredited by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Melissa is a graduate of the NMFI: New Mexico Filmmakers Intensive in Santa Fe.
